Mozambique Tours and Activities

We offer morning and afternoon half-day tours through Maputo City, with stops at the Fortress, Central Market, Museum of Natural History, Railway Station and the curio market. You will also pass by the city hall, the botanical gardens and the Steel House.

Our Maputo night tour begins with dinner at a local seafood restaurant. After dinner we will visit at least two pubs. Then, local music is on the menu. Your evening will end at a nightclub, where you may dance or just relax and enjoy the music until 2 am.

Inhaca Island and Portuguese Island are located across Maputo Bay, 30 km east of the city. Our tour takes you to Portuguese Island first, where you can spend the morning swimming at the pristine beach. Afterwards, we move on to Inhaca Island where you can have a seafood lunch at one of the colourful local resaurants.

Mafalala is a cultural and political center of Mozambique.This tour gives you a better understanding of the area's complex ethnic and cultural history. You will learn about famous political leaders who hail from the area, as well as writers, musicians and athletes. The goal is to gain a historical perspective of the last half century. As you wander and weave through the streets, alleys and market, be sure to absorb the local food and medicines. Enjoy a traditional dance of the Macua, and engage with local school children. This adventure is sure to be an eye-opening one.

This tour takes you to the lovely beach of Macaneta Peninsula, which is located 30 km north of Maputo. The journey is in a 4x4 and you cross the Incomati River by local ferry. After arriving at Macaneta you will have the morning to swim in the warm Indian Ocean. A seafood lunch will be served at a local restaurant, after which you can dip your toes once more in the sea before the return to Maputo.

This trip will take you into the world famous Kruger Park, home to Africa's Big Five. As you slowly drive through the park you will have a chance to sight elephant, buffalo, giraffe, impala, zebra, and for those lucky enough, even lion or rhino. Lunch will be taken at one of the park camps and you will continue to look for game on the return journey from Kruger.

The Baixa (Downtown) Walking Tour is a great way to get to know Maputo and its history. Passing through the colonial downtown area and stopping by the famous railway station and the ancient fortress, you'll be awed by the amount of history contained in the buildings you pass.

Just 100 km from Maputo across the Lebombo Mountains lies the Hlane Royal National Park. Here you will have a chance to view lion, elephant and other game from an open-backed safari vehicle. You may also participate in a game walk tracking white rhino on foot - an experience not to be missed!
